Welcome to the Gateway-Main Street Specific Plan for the City of Milpitas!
The City, in partnership with the Milpitas community, is currently working on a plan for Downtown Milpitas that meets the needs of community members, businesses, and visitors. The Specific Plan is focused in four “focus areas” around Main Street and Calaveras Boulevard which have the highest potential for future development and improving the look and feel of downtown Milpitas.

The second Community Workshop for the Milpitas Gateway-Main Street Specific Plan was held virtually on February 13, 2023. The purpose of the Community Workshop was to gather feedback on whether the draft concepts reflect the community’s vision, including land use/intensity within the Plan Area.
